Tracking The Woodlands' Recent Restaurant Boom

The Woodlands' Hubbel & Hudson a has become a mainstay and a good bet for a great meal. Since then, The Woodlands has seen several recent openings in that neighborhood, including Morton's Grille, Fielding's Wood Grill and Atsumi. While it was rumored that Atsumi would be opening a second location somewhere inside the loop, the manager tells Eater that there are no current plans in the works. A few other spots to look out for is the next location of Ragin Cajun, which will be opening in January of next year at 2626 Research Forest Dr., according to a b4-u-eat newsletter. A Double Dave's employee tells us that the Dave's at that address closed several months ago, but Eater hasn't confirmed it. And although it's a while away, The Woodlands will see the first Houston-area Whiskey Cake opening in early 2015. We're tracking other spots and will update with Plywood Reports soon.
