MONTROSE— We kind of wish that the Super Secret Pop-Up Brunch at Southside Espresso was actually more of a secret, that way the tiny Montrose shop wouldn't be packed and the food sold out before the event ends. HEIGHTS— The D&T Drive Inn is doing its part to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a pretty cool way: pink beer. They will be tapping local brewery Buffalo Bayou Brewing Co.'s Summer's Wit, a hibiscus witbier, and will donate a portion of each pint sold to non-profit health organization The Rose. KATY— Katy's La Balance is putting truffles at the forefront of their Monday night seven-course meal, which will feature oxtail, scallops and lamb cooked with different varietals. GARDEN OAKS— This Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m., Cottonwood will share its first birthday with Heroes for Children, an organization that "provides social and financial support to families who have children battling cancer."
