The Houston Chronicle's Syd Kearney reports that Houston Restaurant Weeks was another huge success this year, earning $1,285,260 to benefit the Houston Food Bank. That's a record-breaking amount. Kearney writes: "In its 10 years, Houston Restaurant Weeks has raised more than $4.1 million for the Houston Food Bank, which feeds 137,000 people each week. The all volunteer-run HRW is the largest annual fundraising event for the food bank and the largest event of its kind in the United States." [Houston Chronicle]
