Philippe's New Menus Since Chef Schmit's Departure

After Philippe Schmit's controversial departure from his namesake restaurant in the Galleria area, many wondered what would come next for the upscale eatery. Since that announcement, Philippe Restaurant & Lounge has added a patio area that is already packed with happy hour and dinner guests. The biggest change has been new chef de cuisine Manuel Pucha's more American-influenced menu. General manager Dallas Easterly said that it's already been receiving praise and a great response, and he joked that a member of the staff thanked him because the trash has been a lot lighter since implementing these new menu items.
