Reserve 101 On the Map; Restaurant's Halloween Costume

BAR TOOLS— In honor of our continuing Cocktail Week, check out the latest Top Ten list over at the Houston Press where contributor John Kiely tells us how to properly stock our home bars. At No. 1 is the Boston Shaker: "There's dozens of exquisite three-piece cocktail shakers, but nothing beats the professional Boston Shaker. RESTAURANT HALLOWEEN— Chicago's Real Kitchen dons a Halloween costume in this funny video. Eater National reports that "this version of Alinea is entirely takeout "with a weekly change-up of 45-course meals." (Don't worry, they send you home with lengthy instructions for plating.) Real Kitchen commits to the con, taking down its strip mall sign — Alinea famously has no sign — and sending up Martin Kastner's plateware designs with an intricate contraption made from a wire hanger.
