Hungry's in the Rice Village to Expand Soon

If you've been wondering about at least some of the construction going on in the Rice Village, Hungry's has announced big plans for its mainstay Village Americana spot:

When we saw our customers' overwhelming response to the NextDoor Bar & Lounge at our Hungry's on Memorial location, we thought it only fair for Hungry's on Rice to have its own space, this time called Upstairs, a second floor bar with an extensive wine menu, tasting, and bites to enjoy during happy hour or later evening. Two private dining rooms upstairs and one downstairs will be available for your birthdays, special occasions, or corporate functions.

There's no set date for completion just yet, but this West University restaurant should be debuting its expansion soon. Check back for details and opening date. With all of the activity in the Rice Village lately, it'll be curious to see how this new restaurant-adjacent bar area will differ from some of the new commissary wine bars around town.
