What Are the Dishes Houstonians Can't Stop Ordering?

If you buy something from an Eater link, Vox Media may earn a commission. See our ethics policy.

Forget all the national magazines highlighting the Houston food scene this year. For those of us who live here, we know that there are several dishes that don't need any press to keep us coming back. And while testing out the new "it" dish can be fun, there are days when nothing but the spicy eggplant from Vieng Thai or the Hara Masala from Himalaya will do. Whether it's the dish you choose for your out-of-town guests, or the one you crave upon arriving at IAH after a week away from home: We want to know what Houston-made dishes you will never stop ordering. Thanks to sister site Eater Austin for the inspiration. Hit us up on the tipline. We'll turn your answers into a map next week.
