Block Purchase Will Not Affect Crapitto's

In case you've been concerned that Crapitto's Cucina Italiana was shuttering due some recent real estate dealings, rest assured that is not closing. The block on which the popular Italian mainstay sits has been sold, but that will not affect the restaurant's operations, according to a B4-U-Eat newsletter: "The block will be developed and most of the businesses have moved out so construction can begin in a few weeks. Frank Crapitto assured us, 'Crapitto's will remain. We have a 4 yr. lease and will stay right here unless we choose to move to the new building if and only when a new restaurant location will be built to our specifications. Until that time Crapitto's is open and doing well and will stay that way.'"
