Good Dog's food truck will be closed the next couple of weeks while they prepare to open their brick-and-mortar shop in the Heights. Late last week on their Facebook page, the hot dog purveyors wrote: "Hey guys!! Our food truck will be closed the next couple of weeks while we get ready to open our brick & mortar at 903 Studewood in the Heights. We'll update very soon! So exciting!!!"
Once open, the restaurant will offer local craft beer, an expanded menu and locally produced wine. At a recent Lucky Dog event, the owners Amalia Pferd and Daniel Caballero took a duck dish to allow diners to preview some of the non-hot-dog dishes they'll be offering. The owners recently showed off their TABC permit, a finishing touch on which they'd been waiting for some time now. While a Heights-area publication recently said that they were already open, the couple behind the shop says they're looking forward to a grand debut coming later this month. Coming up in the Heights are other food trucks-turned-shops including MAM's and Fat Cat Creamery.
