We recently reported that there has been much speculation about whether The Good Life shuttered back in November. We noticed—and had several locals tell us—that the Midtown bar and restaurant had been closed several nights in a row. At that time the owners had been unwilling to confirm or deny the rumors, until now. A representative for the establishment contacted Eater today. "Yes, we are closed for renovations until later in 2014," reservations and event coordinator Dalia Ornelas said. Ornelas tells us that they don't currently have a set timeline or prospective reopening date.
The bar and restaurant opened in March of this year and offered a menu of fancy bar bites created by Roost chef and owner Kevin Naderi. The owners are Saint Genevieve's Jeff and Darren Van Delden.
