LISTICLES—Zagat Houston's Amber Ambrose lists 10 Galleria-area spots to hit up this holiday season when a refueling meal for your shopping break is in order. On the list is Etoile: "Just over a year old, this rustic-yet-refined French restaurant from chef Philippe Verpiand is just getting started. In addition to traditional French favorites, you'll find a seasonal menu and one-heck-of-a-deal social hour during the week." [Zagat]
RIP— Eater National reports that popular chef and author Judy Rodgers has passed away at the age of 57. "Rodgers was chef and co-owner of Zuni Cafe since 1987, and over her tenure garnered herself and the restaurant many accolades including the Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant in 2003 and the Beard Award for Outstanding Chef in 2004."
