HEIGHTS— In honor of non-holiday National Margarita Day, El Gran Malo is offering $5 house margaritas (usually $8), margarita flights and pitcher specials. Back in November, we named it one of Houston's 12 most iconic margaritas, so they're worth checking out. [Facebook]

UPPER KIRBYHaven will host a wine dinner with Cornerstone Cellars founder Dr. Michael Dragutsky on Wednesday February 27. The five-course meal costs $125. See the full menu and make reservations on the restaurant's website. [EaterWire]

SECOND WARDChronicle restaurant reviewer Alison Cook's dish of the week is brisket flautas at the newly opened El Tiempo. She writes that "the El Tiempo brisket flauta filling is so lively and chile-fied that I ate the whole long, elegant flauta in one semi-breathless sequence, without pausing once for a remedial dose of salsa or anything else.
