El Tiempo and Del Frisco's Grille Opening Soon

The Laurenzo family will make their return to the Second Ward on February 11 when the fifth location of their El Tiempo chain opens on Navigation. About the opening, owner Roland Laurenzo said "What a great way for our family to celebrate 64 years in the food business, 1949 – 2013. The new restaurant is located just down the street from The Original Ninfa's on Navigation, where Roland's mother Ninfa made tacos al carbon a global phenomenon. Meanwhile, Del Frisco's Grille, the new, more casual sibling of Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in The Galleria, will open March 16 in the West Ave development on Kirby. The restaurant will serve steaks, but the focus is on sharable appetizers, sandwiches and comfort food entrees such as veal meatloaf and short rib stroganoff.
