The Good Life opened last week in Midtown. As with co-owners Jeff and Darren Van Delden's other property Saint Genevieve in West Ave, the focus of this "Bar and Kitchen" is squarely on drinks first. There are cocktails in Mason-jars and "edible cocktails" in the form of "gourmet Jello shots" that can be ordered in flights for maximum revelry.
Thankfully, cocktails aren't the only items on the menu. As with Saint Genevieve, Darren Van Delden tells CultureMap that Roost chef Kevin Naderi has consulted on a menu of bar food and the now ubiquitous sharable plates. Brunch may be the best time to go. The Good Life will serve a buffet that includes five different Bloody Marys.
