A Look Inside Del Frisco's Grille, Now Open on Kirby

[Gary R Wise]

Del Frisco's Grille opened Saturday night in the space formerly occupied by Ava in the West Ave development at Kirby and Westheimer. Although it serves steaks just like Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in the Galleria, the Grille concept is oriented towards a more casual, comfort-food driven menu. As seen in the menus below, that means flatbreads, salads, a Shake Shack-inspired burger and mains such as meatloaf and pork chops.

The space itself has been completely transformed. The entrance is now located inside West Ave, across from Pondicheri, rather than just off Kirby. That's opened up new patio space along Kirby and adjacent to the entrance. The large, open kitchen is also completely new. New lights hang from the ceilings, and the old entrance has become a wine room.

Del Frisco's Grille is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
