Max's Wine Dive Denies Montrose Rumors

In a conversation this afternoon, Jonathan Horowitz denied a report by CultureMap that Max's Wine Dive intends to add a second Houston location next to Mexican restaurant Cuchara. While there may be a kernel of truth in today's post, Horowitz characterized it as premature. He conceded that Lasco Enterprises wants to expand Max's presence in Houston but said the company is "looking at several spaces" and hasn't signed a lease yet. He even admitted that the company has focused on Montrose as a "dynamic neighborhood."

The restaurant is also considering expanding its footprint in both Austin and Dallas before Houston. Horowitz assures Eater that he will provide details once the restaurant has a confirmed location.
