Coltivare Prevails; Barrel & Brew Celebrash

HEIGHTS— Following up on an item in yesterday's EaterWire, the City of Houston Planning Commission granted a parking variance to Italian restaurant Coltivare. The restaurant will get to use its 3,000 sq ft empty lot for a garden. They will have to add 32 bicycle spots. [Twitter]

STAFFORD— The Barrel & Brew will celebrate its grand opening April 12-14 with a "Bugs and Brew" weekend. That means specials on beer and drinks, and, most importantly, $4.95/lb crawfish. [EaterWire]
