In his newest blog post, sommelier Justin Vann traces the history of his three champagne sabers, which ultimately led him to a custom piece by local metalsmith Serenity Knives. He calls the blade Excelsior. As for his future, he writes that "Excelsior, and all of its accessories were made by actual craftsmen here in Houston Texas. And that is where it is going to stay."
