The transformation of Branch Water Tavern into The Federal Grill is complete. Back in February, Matt Brice announced he'd purchased Branch Water Tavern from chef/owner David Grossman and his partners and would be rebranding it as The Federal Grill. With new signage, a new culinary team and some changes to the menu, the new restaurant combines a series of small improvements rather than wholesale changes. In the kitchen, executive chef Michael Hoffman, formerly of Café Annie and Mockingbird Bistro, and chef Antoine Ware, whose found a new home after Hay Merchant, have combined to add dishes that utilize local ingredients. Brice says that "we've created a fine dining experience in a comfortable, casual and fun setting."
The Federal Grill is open for dinner every day. Lunch is served Monday through Friday with brunch on the weekends. Happy Hour is everyday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
