The Countdown to Osteria Mazzantini Starts Now

Mockingbird Bistro chef John Sheely shared these photos from the inside of Osteria Mazzantini, his Italian restaurant that's coming to the newly constructed BBVA Compass tower on Post Oak. Sheely writes that he's targeting 120 days until opening, which puts it around September 1. A preliminary menu published back in January showed a diverse array of pasta, pizza and seafood options.

Combined with yesterday's news about Punk's Simple Southern Food, the fall opening season is already starting to take shape.
