Eatsie Boys and Lachaine are Young Gun Semi-Finalists

After months of reviewing the thousands of nominations submitted by Eater editors, chefs, industry insiders and diners, Eater has named the three Eatsie Boys partners, Matt Marcus, Ryan Soroka, and Alex Vassilakidis, and Underbelly sous chef Ryan Lachaine as two (collectively) of the 50 semi-finalists for the 2013 class of Eater Young Guns.

As previously mentioned, Eater Young Guns aims to identify the most promising up-and-coming talent in the restaurant industry, whether they're working as chefs or line cooks, wine and cocktail pros, restaurateurs, or maître d's. The criteria are simple. Nominees must be under 30 years of age (or have worked in their chosen field for less than five years) and must be currently employed in the hospitality industry in the United States. They must show extraordinary promise.

Head over to National for the full list of nominees. Expect to hear more about all of the semi-finalists between now and the end of June, when the final class is revealed.
