Beer Bills Need Support; Uchi NOT Coming to Heights

LEGISLATIVEWIRE— Consumer advocacy group Open The Taps is calling upon its members and craft beer fans to call their Texas House representatives and urge them to put the craft beer bills on the House's calendar for a vote. If the bills are not scheduled, the movement to allow breweries to sell beer for on-premises consumption and to enable brewpubs to self-distribute beer will suffer a major setback. [Open the Taps]

UCHIWIRE— Despite rumors, Uchi is not coming to the former Harold's space in the Heights that's already set to house two restaurants. A representative states that the company's next location will open in Dallas in 2014. [29-95]
