Last Chef Standing; Eat at Philippe Tonight

RICE VILLAGERuggles Cafe owner Susan Molzan has collaborated with BRC/Liberty Kitchen chef/owner Lance Fegen on a new breakfast menu that will be served on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The items include four different biscuits and vegetarian tacos. [EaterWire]

GALLERIAPhilippe will host a special dinner tonight at 6:30 p.m. in which five local sommeliers, including the restaurant's own Vanessa Trevino Boyd, have each worked with chef Philippe Schmit to pair a wine with one of his courses. EVENTWIRE— CultureMap's Last Chef Standing competition will take place June 4 from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Attendees will be able to sample dishes prepared by 20 chefs from across Houston, including Eleven XI's Kevin Bryant, Vic & Anthony's Carlos Rodriguez and Batanga's Ben McPherson. Diners from across the city are invited to vote in an online bracket to determine the People's Choice winner.
