Houston's first outpost of Seasons 52 opens today in the new Millenium High Street development just west of Highland Village on Westheimer. Part of the Darden Restaurants empire that includes brands such as Olive Garden, Capital Grill and Eddie V's, Seasons 52 distinguishes itself with an entire menu of items that are no more than 475 calories, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. That menu also changes four times a year to reflect seasonal ingredients. Darden's Master Sommelier George Miliotes has prepared a 100+ bottle wine cellar that includes 60 by-the-glass offerings.
Eating Our Words contributor Mai Pham enjoyed her dining experience at a media tasting this week; Pham noted the quality of both a field green salad and grilled strip steak. Seasons 52 is open everyday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
