As seen in the photo above, no longer can Underbelly chef/owner Chris Shepherd say that he hasn't been to In-N-Out Burger to try the burger empire's trademarked Double-Double. Shepherd visited the restaurant today along with sous chef/Eater Young Gun Ryan Lachaine ahead of tonight's Awards Gala. Shepherd tells Eater that the burger was "delicious." He adds that "they were very nice there. It was a great experience."
Last week, Shepherd received a cease and desist letter from In-N-Out because of an item on his menu called the UB Double Double. The chef complied with the request by creating the "deliciously legal" Cease and Desist Burger. It remains on Underbelly's lunch menu for $14.
