Down House has promoted Mark Decker to the role of head chef; outgoing head chef Benjy Mason moves up to executive chef and will assist Decker with the menu but is transitioning out of day to day operations at Down House to focus on his upcoming restaurant with former Feast chef Richard Knight. Mason also developed the menu for D&T Drive Inn with Mike McElroy.
In a press release, Decker, whose previous stints include seven years at Humble institution Chez Nous, emphasized that he will continue Down House's policies of building "relationships with local farmers, ranchers, and fisherman" to stock the menu. More on Mason and Knight's still unnamed project as it emerges.
