The wait is almost over: Radical Eats' owner Staci Davis tells Eater she will be opening for service at the Montrose location formerly occupied by Roots Bistro on August 11. Davis will be launching brunch service from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the menu will remain mostly the same, save for some highly anticipated new options at 507 Westheimer.
Aptly named, the beloved eatery is making a radical departure from its original claim to fame as Houston's premiere vegan and vegetarian-only taqueria by expanding the menu to accommodate omnivores who appreciate what the owners call "approachable, farm-to-table" offerings. Their family-style lunch and dinner service will launch shortly after that inaugural brunch week, and the grand opening will take place on August 22. Check back for an update on the newly expanded menu.
