Guru Opens Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. and Hosts Karbach Tap Takeover

Just when it seemed like Sugar Land had met its comfort food combo quota, Guru Burgers and Crepes' owners opened new sister eatery Jupiter Pizza & Waffle Co. in Sugar Land Town Square yesterday afternoon.

Apart from creative pies, Akaushi beef patties and sweet or savory crêpes, both restaurants also serve up an extensive selection of carefully chosen craft beer. August 22, however, will be all about just one local brewery. Karbach will be occupying every tap at Guru Burgers for a tap takeover that will launch the brewery's latest and most exclusive suds.

Guru will be pouring Cherries of Fire, the next in Karbach's F.U.N. Series— the brewery's small selection of limited edition beers. It's a bourbon barrel-aged version of Hellfighter that has been absorbing 100 lbs. of cherry purée flavor for three months. The takeover will also feature Karbach's Weekend Warrior Pale Ale, which will be available year-round starting in November. Two other special casks will be on tap for this Karbach-brew-only night at Sugar Land's most renowned burger spot.
