In a city with as unpredictable weather as our own and traffic jams at 2 a.m., it's good to know that at least one thing is always for certain here: if you're having dinner at Tony's, you're going to have a good meal. The Houston institution has maintained rave reviews from esteemed food critics for years now, so ears definitely perked up when reports surfaced that Tony's chef Grant Gordon was opening steakhouse Vallone's in the Memorial City area.
Earlier today Vallone's Facebook page showed a rendering of the exterior, it's the first glimpse at how the restaurant is projected to look when it opens this fall. CultureMap's Eric Sandler reports that Vallone's will likely open in mid-to-late October. General manager Scott Sulma tells Sandler that the place is starting to take shape and that they are already accepting resrvations for the private dining areas.
