Several highly-regarded chefs have already taken a turn at the James Coney Island Show Dog Series, the promotion that celebrates JCI's 90th anniversary with specialty dogs on a monthly rotation. This September brings Mockingbird chef John Sheely's "Bird Dog." It will consist of a bacon-wrapped beef frank topped with cornichon relish, greens and dijonnaise, held together by a brioche bun. This gourmet hot dog will be in restaurants until the end of September. You still have a few days to try Eatsie Boy Matt Marcus' "Mutt Barkus" hot dog. Future months will allow Sparrow's Monica Pope and Hugo's Hugo Ortega to show off their creativity for this Houston chain's big birthday.
