Houston Chronicle's Alison Cook gives Pistolero's burger a C minus. She lists the extensive list of toppings, including frozen French Fries. She notes that "its outrageousness was the point, not its harmony as a representative of the burger genre. Or the torta genre either, for that matter." Mercifully, Cook cuts the burger some slack: "There was actually a good burger hidden inside that maniacal stack. But Pistolero's clear mission of turning the burger into a conversation piece scuttled its potential." [Houston Chronicle]
