How do you cheer up a frozen yogurt lover who's learned that Tasti D-Lite in Highland village is now closed? You offer that person a glass of wine from that space's new establishment. Eater has learned that Aaron Webster, the man who opened that Tasti D-Lite location, is now changing the space entirely for his new concept Drexel House. This new eatery is slated to open sometime in mid-October, city permits allowing. Instead of low-cal frozen treats, Webster's new spot will feature pizza, soups, panini, salads, an extensive wine selection and dessert.
Drexel House will attempt to separate itself from the competition with an impressive beer and wine selection and a menu that puts a spin on the classics. On the tentative menu now: curry-spiced carrot soup will be topped with goat cheese, croissant bread pudding might finally crush the infamous cronut and a wasabi crème spread will be served with your bagel and lox. The space is still currently being renovated, but it will offer a completely different atmosphere than the Tasti D-Lite that once stood there.
