Two Local Restaurants Suddenly Close

In a complete didn't-see-it-coming move, Burger Guys has served its last downtown burger. Although the Westchase location is still thriving, CultureMap's Eric Sandler reports: "The downtown location of The Burger Guys has served its last burger. Although it only opened last year, owner Jake Mazzu and chef Brandon Fisch reached the difficult decision to close after they saw their business dwindle. The restaurant's last day in operation was Friday." Earlier in the day Sandler also reported on Solea closing down to re-brand with a new concept. With so many shifts in the local dining scene, it'll be interesting to see what's next. Maybe a series of franchises? Let's hope not.
