1. MangiaMaccheroni Sicilia
After a successful pop-up at Grand Prize Bar, Felipe Riccio and his team are gearing up for their next pasta party. The seafood-centric Italian dishes will be up for grabs this Sunday (September 29) at Camerata, with the food being prepped and cooked in the Paulie's kitchen. When Eater spoke to Riccio at another Paulie's/Camerata event, he told us that he was keeping his mind open to the possibility of opening his own permanent spot. This pop-up approach is a conservative way to familiarize locals with his work. All upcoming restaurant speculation aside, this event itself will be all about the pasta eating and the joy in a good bowl of food. The menu consists of $12-14 dishes; here is the complete list of options: MangiaMaccheroni's menu.

2. Good Vibes Party/Cottontoberfest
The benefit of having three expansive patios in weather that's quickly approaching safe-to-sit-in temperatures is that you can invite everyone, their food trucks and their bands to ring in Oktoberfest parties. This Saturday (September 28) Cottonwood will host the next Bravado Spice Good Vibes Party, featuring Bravado's new sauce offerings. Artists, brewers and gourmands will come together at this Oak Forest hangout starting at 3 p.m. with live music throughout the fest, including bands Nick Guitan & the Umbrella Man and Free Radicals. Several local startups, including Caphin Iced Coffee will be in attendance. Stop by to check them out; it's a good way to support local small businesses. Keep in mind that both the Good Vibes Party and Cottontoberfest are the same event.

3. Graphic Art and Beer Exhibition
Local artists are coming together in the spirit of "nerd art," games and craft beer as the League of Extraordinary Brewers host an interactive art party. From 5 to 11 p.m. on Friday (September 27) and Saturday (September 28), artists will create inspired murals on the blank walls at Kitchen/Brewery Incubator (907 Franklin) while guests sip on craft brews. They'll also have art on sale and will host a meme contest, in which guests take in funny memes to compete for a prize. Also up for grabs: a beer from the latest aspiring League member brewery.

4. Brenner's on the Bayou Beer Fest
This Saturday (September 28) from 3 to 6 p.m., this beer fest will offer samples from several craft breweries including Ballast Point (San Diego, CA), Firestone Walker (Paso Robles, CA), Green Flash (San Diego, CA) and Real Ale (Blanco, TX). The Houston-area breweries participating are Karbach, No Label, Saint Arnold's and Southern Star. It might seem pricey, with regular admission tickets costing $55 in advance, $70 at the door and VIP tickets reaching $110, but the price of admission includes food from McCormick & Schmick's John Baker and Brenner's on the Bayou's Ryan Braden among other established chefs. There will also be live music provided by Doppelganger Band.
5. Blacksmith by Night Episode 6
