1. Lulu Blues: A Creperie
The Concept: A mobile crêperie set to launch tomorrow (September 28) with a grand opening set for October 5 at Liberty Station. They offer an extensive menu of sweet and savory crêpes, plus the option to add Fat Cat Creamery's vanilla ice cream to any order. Here is the complete menu. Follow them on Twitter for updates on the schedule. Tomorrow (September 28) Lulu Blues will be at Dirk's Coffee from 11a.m. to 3 p.m, and on Monday (September 30) the truck will be at Houston Food Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
2. Gastro Punk
The Concept: This truck was recently launched by a married couple who wanted to offer upscale comfort food. The punk-attired rooster on the side of their truck has already been spotted at many local spots and events around town, and the menu (which changes frequently) is a mix of laid-back and fancy fare. The owner tells Eater that they feature "upscale bar food with a Texas twist; think gastro pub minus the booze." Follow them on Twitter for schedule updates. Tomorrow (September 28) they'll be at 3219 Houston Ave. for a special Friends for Life event.
