HEIGHTSThe Houston Press' Kaitlin Steinberg continues her 100 Favorite Dishes countdown. At No. 45 is the Guanciale Burger at Plonk: "It's not just the rich, smoky guanciale that makes the burger great, though. It's the way the individual elements play off of each other that makes it so mouth-wateringly delicious." [Houston Press]

DOWNTOWNZagat Houston shares a menu highlight from downtown spot Fusion Taco, the chicken-fried oyster taco: "Three plump oysters coated in a heavy batter are wrapped in a corn tortilla and topped with a hot sauce full of that vinegar bite we love so much. It's usually served on a celery root slaw, but this time came with strips of romaine lettuce dressed in a creamy sauce. We didn't notice a difference, and still 'oohed' and 'awwed' over each bite as if we'd never tasted a fried oyster before." [Zagat Houston]
