MONTROSE— Feel it coming in the air Thursday night (Jan. 30) when Lowbrow will host a Phil Collins Dinner Evening. And yeah, the event is exactly what the name implies: A dinner with a menu inspired by and dedicated to Phil Collins. DJ Jermaine Rogers will be playing Phil Collins and Genesis hits from 6 to 11 p.m. The organizers are (jokingly) hopeful for a surprise appearance: "We are not sure if Phil will actually make an appearance or not but our fingers are crossed." More info here. [Eaterwire]
DINNER RECS— It's cold! Head to Hughies for a bowl of pho, or try Fat Bao, which is offering its ramen tonight. For dessert, opt for the Mexican hot chocolate at Hugo's. More ways to stay warm: Zagat Houston offers a list of three Asian soups here, or check out Eater's soup map from Nov. with 11 bone-warming options. [Eaterwire]
HANGOVER OBSERVATIONS— Scope out images from the MS150 Chili Cook-Off at Cottonwood, where Blue Line Bike Lab helped to raise funds with a chili competition and raffle. Full image gallery here. [Facebook]
