Guest Bartender Series at Triniti Kicks Off Jan. 14

In Houston we balk at paying a tad over "reasonable" for a cocktail, even if it's made with premium spirits. But for $10 each Tuesday night at Triniti, you can drink for a charitable organization and have fun with a different host. Each week, a special cocktail menu will be designed by the guest mixing host, the tips that he or she earns will be matched by Triniti for up to $1,000 and will go to a charity of the guest bartender's choice. Some of the charities receiving the proceeds are 86 Cancer, a Houston-founded non-profit to help industry professionals battling cancer, and BlueCure, a non-profit that raises awareness about prostate cancer. The cocktail tastings will take place in Triniti's lounge starting at 7 p.m. with Ladies of Libations co-founder and Triniti's new bar manager Laurie Sheddan, and fellow co-founder and Triniti mixing talent Leslie Ross running the events. The Tuesday night Bartender Guest Series will begin on Jan. 14 with Captain Foxhart's Bad News Bar's Brandon Ricks. Here's the complete schedule of guest bartenders:

· January 14: Brandon Ricks (Captain Foxhart's Bad News Bar), for 86 Cancer
· January 21: Greg Doxakis (Republic National Distributing Co.)
· January 28: Chip Hight (Balvenie Whiskey Associate), benefiting BlueCure
· February 4: Sheridan Fay (El Gran Malo/El Big Bad), benefiting 86 Cancer
· February 11: Hal Brock (Glazers Wholesale Drug Co.), benefiting Yes! Prep
· February 18: James Watkins (Cordua Restaurants)
