Know of a hard core whiskey connoisseur with money to burn? Reserve 101 has just the bottle for them.

The Downtown whiskey bar is one of the only bars in the country to offer a bottle of Glenmorangie Pride 1978. It's one of 700 bottles in the world and the rarest from Glenmorangie's portfolio ever released. Reserve 101 also holds the distinction of being the first bar to make the whiskey available to the public.

Such a rarity will cost you. $750 for a 1.5 oz shot to be precise (plus tax, of course).

According to a press release, "the pricey shot is a 34-year-old release that was aged for 19 years before being extra-matured for another 15 years."  How does a $750 shot of rare whiskey taste? Supposedly like baked apples, plums cherries and apricot, with hints of smoky oak, cinnamon and other spices with a café au lait finish.
