Move out the way turducken and make room for the latest Thanksgiving hybrid that's all the rage these days: pumpecapple piecake. The beastly dessert is the creation of Bobby Jucker of Houston's Three Brothers Bakery, which features pies baked into cakes. One layer is a spiced cake with apple pie, another has chocolate cake with pecan pie, and pumpkin spiced caked with pumpkin pie.
The Three Brothers Bakery creation made its national debut in 2011 on Food Network's Outrageous Food, but after receiving a mention on Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update last month, it's become the talk of the internet.
Patricia Lopez of the local news station ABC13 Eyewitness News, visited Three Brothers Bakery recently where she got a firsthand look at the work involved in making the massive dessert. If you're feeling adventurous, Jucker offers tips on how to make your own at home and save $175.
