Beer Brunch and a Pop-Up; New Brew from Katy; Draft Highlights Local Brewery

A beer-centric Eaterwire filled with local beer news for hop lovers.

MIDTOWN/DOWNTOWN -  Craving Peruvian food but there's none to be found in Midtown? For one night only, you'll find it at Glitter Karaoke. An incubator for up-and-coming chefs, notable chefs around town collaborate with the bar for pop-ups. Tomorrow, Roberto Castre of Latin Bites will be in the house, along with his sous chefs, Alejandro Betancourt and Masaru Fukuda at 8 p.m.,  serving up good food and good times. Once you've started the weekend off right with Castre, leave room on the schedule for November 9th. Fluff Bake Bar and The Flying Saucer Downtown will collaborate for a hoppy brunch. KATY - The brewers at No Label Brewery are making peace; it's the name of their beer: Perpetual Peace. It's "an aggressive 11-percent alcohol by volume"and aged for six months in Wild Turkey whiskey barrels. The brew is available for the first time in stores. GALLERIA - Draft, the magazine dedicated to beer highlights the new brewery to open at Whole Foods Market. It's also the first of its kind. Beer delivered to shoppers on a tricycle, twenty taps of which eight will be brewed in-house. [Draft Magazine]
