An initial website landing page for Johnny's Gold Brick went live over the holidays, beginning the countdown for the bar's opening next year. On the website, the unveiling of the logo: a simple outline of a brick of gold with the word Johnny's inside.

Johnny's Gold Brick replaces The Boom Boom Room at 2518 Yale which closed last month and is one of many Treadsack Restaurant Group concepts to come in 2015. Industry heavyweights Brad Moore and Ryan Rouse (Grand Prize Bar and Moving Sidewalk) are on board and on track to open their laid back watering hole mid-January. Leslie Ross, who recently left Sanctuari less than one month in to join Treadsack, will oversee bar operations. Expect an unpretentious approach to cocktails, beers and shots once open.
