Local Paper Republishes Review on West Ave's Trenza That Closed Months Ago

A publishing gaffe almost goes unnoticed.

While everyone anxiously awaits 2015's arrival this evening, one local newspaper is turning the clock back to July 2014. J.C. Reid, Houston Chronicle barbecue contributor noticed a restaurant review in today's issue of The Woodlands Villager that seemed strange:


Susie Jimenez, a former Food Network contestant and chef, closed the aforementioned Trenza in July. Located in trendy West Ave, the Latin and Indian fusion restaurant was Jimenez's first venture that didn't take off as expected. The article was first published in April nearly five months Trenza opened.
