We've previously discussed Houston's most underrated spots, but let us turn the tables for a sec: Yesterday over at CultureMap, Eric Sandler posted a self-proclaimed "fearless" list of what he deemed Houston's most overrated restaurants — that is, "a place where the hype doesn't match the reality." He specifically calls out Uchi ("all the dishes look the same"), Mai's (it "ain't what it used to be"), and yes, even the critically acclaimed Underbelly, and commenters seem to be split between calling for Sandler's head and agreeing with him.
We want to know: Which Houston restaurants would you deem totally overrated? Are you unimpressed by the many Pappas family chains, underwhelmed by pricey steakhouses, or perhaps nonplussed by folks' love for a certain barbecue joint? Do chime in via the comments.
