Alex Gregg to Consult for the Revamped Dean's

Dean's Downtown (formerly Dean's Credit Clothing) reopened last fall, and now it's donning a nice updated look. The space features vintage furniture, artwork of classic Houston, and a 30-foot bar made of reclaimed wood from the current St. Arnold's building. They finished just in time to welcome MTV for a shoot this weekend. In addition to the face-lift, the bar is also bringing on new talent as well as a familiar name to help tweak the drinks selection. Goro & Gun's bar manager Alex Gregg will be refining the cocktail menu at the downtown bar. Gregg recently helped put Goro on Texas Monthly's list of Best New Bars in Texas and has been busy working on Goro & Gun's new syrup division. A rep for Dean's said that "it helps strengthen that sense of 'family' on the 300 Block."
