Benjy Levit and chef/partner Dylan Murray's popular gourmet sandwich shop Local Foods' River Oaks outpost is finally debuting to the public on March 13. The new location inside the space that once housed Taco Milagro is bringing some changes with it: A liquor license and full bar, an expanded rotisserie-based dinner menu as well as more vegan and vegetarian offerings. The rest of the menu, however, will remain the same as the one at the original location. (No worries, the Crunchy Chicken sandwich is still on the menu.)

True to the name, almost everything at Local Foods has been locally sourced. From the beer on tap to the custom-designed booths and furniture to, of course, the ingredients for the sandwiches and sides. Murray personally shops for these at the Urban Harvest Farmer's Market, where he procures items from Black Hill Ranch, Slow Dough Bread Co., Atkinson Farms and Knopp Branch Farm among others. Levit, who also owns both Benjy's locations in Houston, has brought on former Benjy's in the Rice Village sous chef Daniel Nossa and chef Brandon Shillings to work with Murray in the kitchen daily. This location will be open open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will seat about 100 diners inside and another 100 on the outdoor patio. They are officially open to the public as of March 13, when they will debut a lunch service that will continue for a few weeks before the expanded dinner menu is introduced.
