Georges Guy Set to Open Georges Bistro This Week

Georges Guy is expected to open Georges Bistro April 3, according to the Chron. Guy used to operate Chez George at the space most recently occupied by now-defunct Feast. The chef and his wife Monique Guy opened Bistro Des Arts just last June, right around the time that Feast closed and left the space at 219 Westheimer vacant. Now it seems that the couple will head back east on Westheimer to cook "French country cuisine" at the upcoming bistro. The entire family is leading the French dining scene in Houston, Guy's son is Jean-Philippe Guy, the manager at French Country Wines, and his wife Genevieve Guy operates Eater Essential 38 spot Bistro Provence. Georges' daughter owns both Brasserie Max and Julie in Montrose and Café Rabelais in the Rice Village.
