Heights Crawfish Spot Boil House Set to Open in May

Earlier this month, we mentioned forthcoming new Heights crawfish spot Boil House, and now there's new info on it, including the projected opening date. A rep for Boil House tells Eater that they plan on being open in the first week of May, following friends and family dinners. The BYO-friendly place will boast picnic tables for those who choose to dine in, but will primarily be a drive-thru establishment for mudbugs on the go.

Boil House comes courtesy of native Louisianans Wayne Gonsoulin and Jason Murray. The duo were born and raised in Louisiana and attended Louisiana State University before relocating to Houston."Our passion for good crawfish stems back to our childhood where boils bring friends and families together. We like to say our crawfish comes straight from 'The Pond to your Plate', serving up fresh ingredients, great products and a Louisiana experience that Houston will never forget," Murray said in a statement. In addition to boiled mudbugs made with traditional Cajun seasoning, they also plan on offering boudin empanadas, sausage and desserts like house-made King Cakes and Aunt Sally's pralines.

Once it's up and running, Boil House will be open Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 12 to 9 p.m. See the complete menu here.
