Former Eater Houston editor Amber Ambrose compiled the inaugural Eater National Coffee 38. For our city, Ambrose chose Blacksmith: "Behind the coffee itself is Ecky Prabanto and David Buehrer of Greenway Coffee (one of Houston's most prolific and obsessed-over roasters), and in a more general sense, it's part of the Clumsy Butcher restaurant group - which has hands in nationally recognized bars and restaurants like Anvil and Underbelly."
