Galveston is Welcoming Longboard Pool Bar Soon

Just in time for summer, a new swim-up bar is debuting with a large pool and hot-weather drinks. Longboard Pool Bar will open to the public on May 30 at 3 p.m. at the Galveston Beach Hotel (see map at far right).

It will open at the space that once housed Captain Jack's. The best so-meta feature? A frozen drinks bar at the bar. Traditional, light summer cocktails will also be served, no word yet on whether they'll be adding a food menu once they're up and running. Longboard comes courtesy of The Spot, Tiki Bar, SideYard and RumShack owner Dennis Byrd, the local developer who's famous for flipping the Island's buildings. This new establishment will be just a stone's throw away from his other properties. Get ready to head to Galveston's newest pool bar in just a few weeks.
